What Customers said about their Experience
I loved our Scotland tour with Yvonne and Paul from Silverlink Tours. From a walking tour of Edinburgh with an accredited historian including Holyrood Palace to stays in castles in the Highlands, an exciting boat tour of the Inner Hebrides near Oban and a tasting at a local whisky distillery, we were treated to the heart of Scotland. We stopped at Ben Nevis, saw “hairy coos”, toured Stirling Castle … Yvonne and Paul make sure you see and experience all the sites and then the hidden gems most do not get to see. The best part is Paul and Yvonne take care of arranging all tours, all travel, the reservations while including the interests of the various guests. Best tour guides and tour EVER!
Yvonne made our trip to Scotland enjoyable and memorable! In addition to visiting standard tourist attractions like marverlous castles, Yvonne went the extra mile to provide experiences we would enjoy – from setting up seeing seals on a North Sea beach to getting us last minute tickets on the Harry Potter train, to having delicious lunches in quaint off the beaten path restaurants we would never have found on our own. She was professional and dependable, on time and drove well and put the customer first! If we needed incidentals like extra socks, snacks or gift ideas she had great recommendations. She was warm, genuine and friendly. I recommend Yvonne very highly as a tour guide! You can’t go wrong.
Silverlink Tours is the BEST tour company in Scotland. I took my daughter on a trip last summer for two weeks. It was just the 2 of us and I didn’t want to rent a car because of the steering wheel and driving lanes are on the wrong side for me. We wanted to see as much as the coutry as we possibly could in those two weeks. Paul was our driver for those two weeks and he was amazing. He knew so much history and we learned so much about Scotland on our journey. He knew the best places to shop, the hidden villages, the pubs and restaurants. We were so lucky that he was our driver. If you’re heading to Scotland and need a driver/tour guide I would highly recommend Paul or Yvonne.
FIVE STARS! Paul and Yvonne made our eight-day Scotland excursion truly special. Paul took the time to understand our travel preferences, ensuring a personalised and unforgettable experience. He has a knack of discovering hidden gems, and his passion for Scotland is evident in the way he shares its beauty and history. We couldn’t have asked for a bettwe guide!
Kathy and I had an incredible 7-day adventure with Paul and Yvonne, exploring the beauty of Scotland. Our journey began in Edinburgh and took us through stunning Cairngorms National Park, Inverness, the Isle of Skye, Fort William and finally Glasgow. The trip was nothing short of fantastic. Paul and Yvonne’s local knowledge and connections opened up a world of hidden gems and out-of-the-way places that made our trip truly special. Their ability to secure priority treatment for us whenever we went made us feel like VIPs. In addition to visiting many awe-inspiring castles and churches, we discovered lesser known treasures like the Kelpies and Kilmuir Cemetery, where the legendary Flora MacDonald rests. A highlight of our trip was a fabulous lunch at the Flodigarry Hotel on the Isle of Skye, offering delicious food and stunning views. Overall, this was a 5-star experience, thanks to Paul and Yvonne’s unparalleled hospitality and expertise. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to explore the magic of Scotland!
My husband and I are most pleased to share with you our experience on our tour of Scotland with our guide and travel advisor Paul, now offering his services through Silverlink Tours. We had embarked on a canned tour and itinerary of Scotland and we were lucky enough to draw Paul as our guide and chauffeur on a multiday visit to the Northern part of beautiful Scotland.
Not only were we most pleased with our trip but Paul became a friend as well. Paul had amazing ability, knowledge and talent very much worth noting. Even though our canned trip had many great places to see and appreciate, Paul took our trip to another level. He
recommended and took us to places and points of interest that even the big tour Operators didn’t know about. And they were GREAT!
Paul was most accommodating, friendly, humorous, respectful and always eager to please. We came first and felt like special guests at every turn and at every special place of which he was most knowledgeable.
We love Scotland because of people like Paul. For anyone we know going to Scotland, we jump at the chance to refer them to Paul.

To whom it may concern:
Our visit to Scotland was a journey shared by two couples who have been friends for a lifetime, all of us now in our mid‑seventies. We began and ended in Edinburgh, and over two remarkable weeks we traveled almost 1,300 miles through this beautiful country — from the Highlands to the islands, across lochs, glens, and storied towns whose names alone carry centuries of history.
Our driver‑guide, John Greens, of Silverlink Tours, quickly became far more than a driver. He became our Scottish ambassador — the person who opened the door to the country’s landscapes, stories, humor, and heart. From the first day, we felt as though we had known him for years. His personality, warmth, and genuine sincerity endeared him to us immediately.
John’s knowledge of his homeland — its history, traditions, and the small details that never make it into guidebooks — was priceless. He shaped our understanding of Scotland and elevated every stop, every conversation, every mile. His presence became both the focus and the delight of our adventure.
Looking back, we cannot imagine how our journey would have unfolded without him. His professionalism, his engaging nature, his humor, and his steady competence allowed us to relax, learn, and simply enjoy the gift of our time together.
John was, without question, the highlight of our trip.
Tour with John
We just finished a 12 day tour with John. It was just amazing. He was so knowledgeable and sensitive to our needs. The trip could not have been any better,
Thank you
An unforgettable Scotland experience
My family of four, including two teenagers, recently spent a few days touring Scotland with Yvonne and it was incredible. From the first moment getting picked up at our hotel in Edinburgh through all the castles, hikes, shopping, and stops we made along the way, it was a completely 5-star, worry free experience that exceeded every possible expectation. All four of us loved the entire trip, including the stops at castles, the impromptu snow-hike at Cairngorm Mountain, the hairy coo safari, and our stay in Pitlochry and Yvonne was a key part of making everything not just easy but fun and relaxing. We all agreed – it was one of the best family vacations we’ve ever taken thanks to Yvonne’s expert care.
John was excellent
We had John as our driver and he was absolutely excellent. He was able to give a lot of information about the area and suggest things to do and was extremely friendly. Absolutely zero complaints.
