I loved our Scotland tour with Yvonne and Paul from Silverlink Tours. From a walking tour of Edinburgh with an accredited historian including Holyrood Palace to stays in castles in the Highlands, an exciting boat tour of the Inner Hebrides near Oban and a tasting at a local whisky distillery, we were treated to the heart of Scotland. We stopped at Ben Nevis, saw “hairy coos”, toured Stirling Castle … Yvonne and Paul make sure you see and experience all the sites and then the hidden gems most do not get to see. The best part is Paul and Yvonne take care of arranging all tours, all travel, the reservations while including the interests of the various guests. Best tour guides and tour EVER!
Yvonne made our trip to Scotland enjoyable and memorable! In addition to visiting standard tourist attractions like marverlous castles, Yvonne went the extra mile to provide experiences we would enjoy – from setting up seeing seals on a North Sea beach to getting us last minute tickets on the Harry Potter train, to having delicious lunches in quaint off the beaten path restaurants we would never have found on our own. She was professional and dependable, on time and drove well and put the customer first! If we needed incidentals like extra socks, snacks or gift ideas she had great recommendations. She was warm, genuine and friendly. I recommend Yvonne very highly as a tour guide! You can’t go wrong.
Silverlink Tours is the BEST tour company in Scotland. I took my daughter on a trip last summer for two weeks. It was just the 2 of us and I didn’t want to rent a car because of the steering wheel and driving lanes are on the wrong side for me. We wanted to see as much as the coutry as we possibly could in those two weeks. Paul was our driver for those two weeks and he was amazing. He knew so much history and we learned so much about Scotland on our journey. He knew the best places to shop, the hidden villages, the pubs and restaurants. We were so lucky that he was our driver. If you’re heading to Scotland and need a driver/tour guide I would highly recommend Paul or Yvonne.
FIVE STARS! Paul and Yvonne made our eight-day Scotland excursion truly special. Paul took the time to understand our travel preferences, ensuring a personalised and unforgettable experience. He has a knack of discovering hidden gems, and his passion for Scotland is evident in the way he shares its beauty and history. We couldn’t have asked for a bettwe guide!
Kathy and I had an incredible 7-day adventure with Paul and Yvonne, exploring the beauty of Scotland. Our journey began in Edinburgh and took us through stunning Cairngorms National Park, Inverness, the Isle of Skye, Fort William and finally Glasgow. The trip was nothing short of fantastic. Paul and Yvonne’s local knowledge and connections opened up a world of hidden gems and out-of-the-way places that made our trip truly special. Their ability to secure priority treatment for us whenever we went made us feel like VIPs. In addition to visiting many awe-inspiring castles and churches, we discovered lesser known treasures like the Kelpies and Kilmuir Cemetery, where the legendary Flora MacDonald rests. A highlight of our trip was a fabulous lunch at the Flodigarry Hotel on the Isle of Skye, offering delicious food and stunning views. Overall, this was a 5-star experience, thanks to Paul and Yvonne’s unparalleled hospitality and expertise. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to explore the magic of Scotland!
My husband and I are most pleased to share with you our experience on our tour of Scotland with our guide and travel advisor Paul, now offering his services through Silverlink Tours. We had embarked on a canned tour and itinerary of Scotland and we were lucky enough to draw Paul as our guide and chauffeur on a multiday visit to the Northern part of beautiful Scotland.
Not only were we most pleased with our trip but Paul became a friend as well. Paul had amazing ability, knowledge and talent very much worth noting. Even though our canned trip had many great places to see and appreciate, Paul took our trip to another level. He
recommended and took us to places and points of interest that even the big tour Operators didn’t know about. And they were GREAT!
Paul was most accommodating, friendly, humorous, respectful and always eager to please. We came first and felt like special guests at every turn and at every special place of which he was most knowledgeable.
We love Scotland because of people like Paul. For anyone we know going to Scotland, we jump at the chance to refer them to Paul.

MAGNIFICENT SCOTLAND!
Very grateful to Silverlink tours for partnering us up with John! We had an amazing exploration of the Isle of Skye and a wonderful, educational trip from St. Andrew’s to Loch Lomond and everywhere in between. John was a superb guide. Rightfully proud of his beautiful country and full of stories both past and present. We could not be more pleased with our three day excursion. The vehicle was large, new, safe and easy for a couple of oldies to get in and out of. John was adaptable to our interests and ensured we had a fantastic time! We highly recommend Silverlink! Thank you from a couple of Canadians in awe of your wonderful land!
First Time Visiting Scotland
We were picked up in Edinburgh for a full day trip by Yvonne. She was on time very friendly, had cold water for us all day. Offered facts about our destinations and suggestions for stops along the way. We very much appreciated her the 4 days that we traveled together. We would highly recommend this company and if we make another trip we would indeed Use the company again for our needs.
Fantastic 2 weeks
This is our second go with Paul as our driver, requesting him because he is so much more than that; and on this trip Yvonne helped us map our itinerary, lodging, events and excursions, etc. Paul is a fountain of knowledge (despite his humble claim to have just “a wee bit of useless information”), easy to understand with subtitles, and insofar as the technicalities of our journeys, was adept at making small adjustments on the fly based on our conversations and interests, often smaller and out-of-the-way spots – and occasionally larger adjustmewnts when weather required (for those who do not know it sometimes rains in Scotland), all the while getting us to where we needed to be by whatever time. Each time was a big win, so much so that our nickname for him became “Good call, Paul.” Then there are the intagibles, chief among them his general likability and terrific good humor – we laughed together throughout our 2 weeks. In our many places of travel and many drivers and guides all over the world, Paul (and Yvonne) are standouts – can not recommend this team more highly. 5 stars Plus. Lastly on some of the more perilous hikes (we wanted the peril), we made it back to the vehicle safely…And there was much rejoicing. Yaaaaaay. IFYKYK
Scotland is my happy place!
The trip started out badly due to flights being canceled out of Heathrow Airport. Paul, our driver/guide, turned what could have been a disastrous trip into a wonderful experience with his knowledge of the areas we visited and his kindness.
Scotland tour
We had a wonderful experience! Our driver Yvonne, could not have been more friendly and helpful. She added to the enjoyment of the trip. I would highly recommend. She added little stops to the trip that were not on our itinerary but she thought we would enjoy. The whole experience was centered around getting the most out our week in Scotland and we did. We hope to come back and would love to have her as our guide again.
